A Note From The Team

2025 Delivery Summary.

In 2025, GANP ran Community Games at Sorauren Park, distributed Moving & Learning resources and tested paid pickleball programming. This report also includes GANP's 17 Sportswalls installed to date. The sections below show what was delivered.

These numbers count people, visits, sessions and resources. Together, they show how many opportunities GANP created to move.

Community Games

Community Games At Sorauren Park.

In 2024 we started with three people and one set of nets. In 2025 we ran 24 GANP Saturdays with roughly 20 participant visits per session on average. Some weeks drew larger crowds. Pickleball, volleyball, all free, all welcome.

  • 640Estimated pickleball participant visits

The leagues were the new piece in 2025. We ran one full indoor pickleball season and additional outdoor pickleball days at Sorauren, adding up to 40 low-cost sessions. Those sessions were not free. Fees covered the venue and equipment, and they kept the energy going beyond Saturdays.

"I am thankful that you guys are doing these Saturdays. I wouldn't have been able to play pickleball or make any new friends if this wasn't a thing."

Sportswalls

No New Walls In 2025. 17 Already Installed.

We didn’t paint any new Sportswalls in 2025. The 17 already painted at Ontario schools, across the Toronto Catholic, Peel, York Catholic and Halton boards, remained in place in 2025. Painting the next ones is a 2026 goal.

Moving & Learning

Moving & Learning Programs And Resources.

In 2025 we became a Peel District School Board approved vendor for in-school and after-school Moving & Learning programs. Our movement-based math, reading and phonics lessons continued reaching teachers and classrooms.

Two lessons stayed free downloads in 2025: the Winter Wonderland Mad Libs (reading + parts of speech with movement breaks) and the Blank Paper Dodecahedron (a build-your-own exercise die kids customize and re-use). Both are free downloads on Teachers Pay Teachers.

"The students absolutely loved the 30-minute Get Active Story Challenge, especially when they got to share their stories at the end. We've done the challenge three times now, and I've noticed a real improvement in many of my students' writing skills and creativity."

Other Community Outreach In 2025

Two Weeks Of Community Mental-Health Outreach.

For two weeks, GANP invited community members to share a mental-health tip they would give a friend and take part in simple conversation activities. Neighbours stopped, contributed notes, and joined the conversation.

How We Counted

Participant visits
An estimate, from head counts taken at sessions across the 2025 season. Someone who came often is counted on each visit.
Unique participants
An estimate of individual people, drawn from those head counts and the regulars volunteers recognized week to week. Not a verified registration list.
Sessions and hours
Counted from the Saturday and weeknight schedule actually run in 2025.
Sportswalls
A running total of walls painted since 2013. No new walls were added in 2025.
Resource reach
Based on Teachers Pay Teachers download totals. Repeat downloads by the same teacher are not removed.
Not tracked yet
We do not formally measure how often each Sportswall is used, or longer-term changes in participants. We say so rather than estimate it.

Help Fund The Next Year Of Play.

$5 a month gets us closer to 100 monthly donors. A Sportswall sponsorship can help install another painted court at an Ontario school. Or just show up to a Saturday and bring a friend who hasn't played in a decade.
