Be Respectful

• Welcome beginners.
• Respect different ages, backgrounds, identities and abilities.
• No harassment, hate speech, threats, bullying or discriminatory language.
• Disagreement is allowed. Personal attacks are not.

Respect Privacy

• Do not share another person's phone number, address, school, image or private messages without permission.
• Ask before posting identifiable photos or videos.
• Remember that members of a WhatsApp group may be able to see your phone number.
• Do not pressure anyone to move a conversation into private messages.

Youth Safety

• Anyone under 18 should participate with the knowledge of a parent or guardian.
• Adults should not use GANP groups to arrange private one-on-one meetings with minors.
• Youth should not post home addresses, school schedules, travel plans or other sensitive information.
• Parent, guardian or school involvement may be required for youth activities.

Arranging A Meetup

Unless an event is listed as an official GANP program, it is independently organized by the people attending.

• Meet in an appropriate public place.
• Tell someone where you are going.
• Follow the rules of the park, school or facility.
• Confirm who is bringing equipment.
• Check weather and surface conditions.
• Do not claim an independent meetup is officially supervised by GANP.

Play Safely

• Use equipment appropriately.
• Respect the space and other park or facility users.
• Adapt activities to the people participating.
• Stop an activity when conditions become unsafe.
• Call 911 in an emergency.

No Selling Or Spam

Do not use GANP groups for unrelated advertising, repeated promotions, scams, fundraising or unsolicited sales.

Moderation

GANP moderators may remove posts, restrict access or remove members who break these guidelines or create a safety concern. GANP cannot monitor every message or independently organized activity at all times.

Report A Concern

Email MUcieklak@getactivenplay.com with the group name, what happened and any screenshots or details that may help. For immediate danger or a suspected crime, contact emergency services or local police.
